Description:
Miss Pumpkin was named so when she was ready to give birth to her puppies. We discovered her last March in a shelter that allow only 5 days and she was so fat with her babies that she could not get off the floor. She would look at you with those big sad eyes, whine and wag her tail, so we decided she looked like a big chubby pumpkin..... Well I think she waited untill she felt safe before she had her pups because when  we placed her in a foster home she had 14 little ones the very next day.  SHe was the best Mommy ever and gently cared for her pups. Pumpkin's foster home had 4 other big dogs and she got along with all of them, but did not like the kitty. Her babies are weaned and have all been placed...all thats left is Pumpkin who badly wants a home of her own. Her foster home was in the Mountains on a very small lot so she was mainly an inside dog, loved snuggling on the couch  or in front of the fireplace on the cold winter nights. Her foster Mommie moved out of state and cried when she has to bring this loving girl back to us. So now Pumpkin is again homeless, back in a boarding kennel waiting patiently, a little depressed because she is alone again for the second time. She is a very mellow, gentle, low key dog that loves to be petted and waits for special treats or chewtoys. The foster called her Izzaboo or Izzy and she will answer to all. She hardly ever potties in her kennel, and almost always waits till the volunteers walk her. She is gentle with kids and most big dogs.  This is a courtesey listing...Please consider giving Pumpkin a secure forever home.  Email Pat at  WORKING4RDOGS@yahoo.com for an adoption application or call 760-265-9595.
Pumpkin is a very easy going and sociable dog and misses be part of a family.
