Description:
This is little Whiskey's story...He was turned into a local animal shelter by a young lady in her early 20's who came in cuddling this little poodle in her arms. She was sobbing because she had to turn it in...apparently her apt manager saw the dog and she isnt allowed pets. Her Grandma and Uncle were with her and the Grandma was crying too. I told her I would take the dog and when she handed the dog to me it nipped at me. I took him anyway and has a friend take him for a couple of days to see how he would adjust. He growled at her a little too,, but she just let him loose in the house and about 2am he crawled into bed with her teenage daughter and slept like a baby. The next day he was running around the house like he had always lived there so we know he will quickly adjust to a new home. There were no other dogs inside the house so we didnt experience that. I believe he nipped the first day was because he was scared to death and didn't know where he owner went.   I think he would bond really quickly with a new family but may not do well with toddlers (although I really dont know for sure). He was purchased from a private party breeder  and is 11-12 month old. He was petrified when his owner left him and she was still sitting in her car crying when I drove off with him.  He is very small, maybe 5-10 lbs, jet black curly hair that has not been cut or clipped. He is really a cute little guy and just a baby, not quite a year old. I will be adding more pictures soon. This is a courtesey listing...please email Pat at  WORKING4RDOGS@YAHOO.COM for an adoption application...please put Whiskey in the subject line.
